PEKÍN EXPRESS arrives at Max on October 20, 2024
PEKING EXPRESS It's a relentless stage race that traverses some of the most beautiful, undiscovered, and challenging places in the world. A journey in which participants will meet exceptional people, experience the richest and most diverse cultures, and discover themselves in ways they'd never before imagined. This format, originally from Belgium and created by Ludo Poppe two decades ago, has premiered successfully in 18 countries around the world, including France, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Spain, and Italy, among others. In this new phase in Spain, the program has been produced by Warner Bros. ITVP Spain for Max.
As already announced, actor and director Miguel Ángel Muñoz will be at the helm of this new adaptation of PEKING EXPRESS which was recorded this spring and will premiere on October 20th on Max. The program will feature seven pairs of contestants made up of a well-known face and a companion from their immediate circle: Miriam Díaz Aroca and María Grant, Octavi and Alicia Pujades, Gonzalo Miró and Ángel Díaz, Álex de la Croix and Guille Camas, Alba Paúl and Álex Domenech, Canco Rodríguez and David Pulido, Gemma Mengual and Gisela Morón.

14 participants, a colossal journey through some of the most unknown countries on the planet, just one euro a day, and a succulent cash prize. That's right. PEKING EXPRESS, the travel and adventure competition that revolutionized this television genre worldwide and which, coinciding with its 20th anniversary, returns to Spain thanks to MAX with a renewed format full of surprises, with Miguel Ángel Muñoz at the helm as the program's presenter.
In this new phase, produced by Warner Bros. ITVP Spain for Max, seven couples participate, each consisting of a celebrity and their companion. Each will have a backpack as their only luggage and will compete against each other in the race of their lives. Their mission: to reach the finish line as quickly as possible through exotic locations, where they will have to find transportation, accommodation, and food with no resources other than their instincts, their ingenuity, and their social skills. Only then will they be able to overcome the numerous challenges they will face throughout the program if they want to stay in the competition until the final test.
